Individual Philanthropist of the Year
Tom O'Leary is well known in our community as the owner of Chevy's Fresh Mex and as a generous philanthropist. He served on the first Food Link Board of Directors and led the first fundraising hunger related event, Taste of the Nation Annapolis in the early 1990's. Both he and his wife Jeannie continue to support our annual fundraising efforts with sponsorships, delicious food and other meaningful donations. Tom's entire staff participates in our holiday outreach, adopting needy families. His unwavering support and belief in Food Link has been invaluable to both the organization and the families they serve.

Corporate Philanthropist of the Year
When Whole Foods arrived in Annapolis in 1993, they turned food donation into an art form. For many years, seven days a week, Whole Foods has consistently d the freshest and most nutritious foods we receive, resulting in hundreds of thousands of pounds of wonderful, nutritious foods for thousands of people in our county. And they provide beautiful flowers for volunteers to brighten the days for seniors in low-income housing. Whole Foods has consistently supported our fundraising efforts through meaningful donations to The Blue Jean Bash and choosing us to be a recipient of their 5% Day program. Whole Foods Market is truly the epitome of an outstanding corporate neighbor.

Individual Philanthropist of the Year
As a volunteer for over a decade, "Crabby Joe", as Joe Berry is fondly called, has probably delivered a million pounds of food on his own and racked up half a million miles on his vehicles. Joe is well-known at Whole Foods and other food donors loading docks in our area. Joe is the dependable volunteer who always says "Yes", fills in for others, and makes multiple trips to food donors and recipient agencies, guaranteeing that no good food goes to waste. He has trained many volunteers and has a gift for making strong connections with food donors. Joe has touched many hearts in his years of service as a Food Link volunteer.
