Sylvie Zesbaugh

For over 17 years Sylvie Zesbaugh has been a constant helper and volunteer to Food Link. Many years ago when a friend who was also a volunteer asked for help, she saw an opportunity to respond to those in need.

Sylvie is a native of France (she has a beautiful accent), moving to the Annapolis area 30 years ago and setting down roots. She is the proud mother of four beautiful children. A retired flight attendant for American Airlines, she now spends her time at home taking care of her family, home schooling her children and helping those who are struggling during these difficult economic times. When not involved in her volunteer work, she enjoys being creative and passes her time painting, sewing and gardening.

When asked what she sees as a benefit to the Food Link program, she appreciates that nothing is wasted and good food that might be thrown away is picked up and distributed to people in need twice each week through her group of volunteers. Sylvie is always ready to give love and kindness along with nutritious food. She wants to give credit to a few of our many wonderful donors, Giant, Whole Foods, Trader Joes and Panera Bread. I think that Sylvie is a one of a kind volunteer, friend, and a great and special lady. For all the years of service to the community, we say "Thank you!" What would Food Link and the community do without this beautiful and kind woman?
