Meet Some of Our Wonderful Volunteers!

By Paula Gordon Volunteer Director

As the Volunteer Director, I consider myself blessed to work with so many fine volunteers. Week in and week out, regardless of the weather, the volunteers ensure that the mission of Food Link is carried out - perfectly good food is delivered to feed hungry people and not the landfill. Food Link volunteers in Anne Arundel, Dochester, Kent, Queen Anne's and Talbot counties work together to coordinate and deliver over 2 million pounds of food each year to over 100 feeding programs and agencies. Food Link is blessed to work with the most extraordinary, generous, caring, gifted and committed group of people and we appreciate each and every one of you. You are ambassadors of our program and good Samaritans in our community. Just by being who you are and the work you do, you make our world a nicer place. Thank you!

"Treasure the one who lightens the burden of anyone else."
Charles Dickens

The above quote by Charles Dickens is one of my favorites and it reminds me of each of my volunteers. This organization would not or could not function and accomplish its mission without the help and dedication of the volunteers here in Anne Arundel County and those in Dorchester, Kent, Talbot and Queen Anne' counties on the Eastern Shore. So thank you from the staff at Food Link and all our neighbors who are struggling with food insecurity who are the recipients of your acts of kindness.
